Who is ResearchWorks?

Dr Dayna Pool and Dr Ashleigh Thornton receiving Transformative Practice Award 2024

Dr Dayna Pool and Dr Ashleigh Thornton receiving the Transformative Practice Award in 2024

ResearchWorks was started by Dr Dayna Pool and Dr Ashleigh Thornton in February 2021, as a way for researchers to present their findings and for clinicians to have access to the latest research and evidence.

5 seasons later, with 100’s of thousands of downloads and listeners - with collaborations between AusACPDM (The Australasian Academy of Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Medicine), EACD (The European Academy of Childhood-onset Disability) and in 2026, AACPDM (American Academy for Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Medicine), the ResearchWorks team has turned their attention to establishing a digital platform for researchers and clinicians across the globe.

From education and courses, to podcasts, videocasts and multimedia, to state of the art tools leveraging AI and machine learning - the ResearchWorks Academy is designed to fill the gap for clinicians and researchers.

Supported by not-for-profit charity The Healthy Strides Foundation in Perth Western Australia, the ResearchWorks Academy aims to be able to provide a one-stop shop for networking and upskilling for clinicians and researchers in the field of neurodisability.

Far from a profit generating endeavour, our costs are limited to the service we provide, being able to manage upkeep and maintenance on our servers and offer profit sharing on content generation. A constantly updated and maintained, specially curated collection of data, tools and services for the modern therapist and researcher.
